Non-Profit Spotlight: Inside Health Institute

Often when talking about coaching with people they ask me about the difference between coaching and therapy. The way I describe it is this, therapy is about uncovering & recovering. It can often be focused on the past and discovering trauma. Coaching is all about discovering. It’s about asking questions and allowing you to come up with your own answers, that are deep inside you, to be able to uncover and discover your truth and take action. Often my clients are in need of therapy along with coaching. Having a dual approach is very powerful and can get increased results in a quicker time frame. But it can be hard to find good quality therapists. That's why I want to share this amazing find!

I want to share an amazing little gem in my neighborhood. Inside Health Institute, is a local 501c3 non-profit based out of Bothell, WA that offers integrative mental health services and community health education to underserved people in King and Snohomish counties. They were founded in 2015 because they saw an unmet need in the community. They started as an integrative health care clinic treating people with naturopathic medicine as well as offering mental health services. In 2020, they pivoted to respond to the increase in mental health care needs we saw in the community after the onset of the pandemic. Since then, they have been dedicated to filling the gap in mental health care across the region. And I love their mission: Bringing accessible holistic mental health solutions to all because health access is a human right! And one of my favorite people is now working there!

Specifically, I want to spotlight one of my dear colleagues, fellow healers, and dear friend Erin Mullins. She never stops learning and gaining more experience to help support her patients in a deeper and enriching capacity. Her work is rooted in years of experience in the healing arts and sciences. Her most recent endeavor is earning a master’s in health psychology and counseling at Bastyr University. Additionally, she is a registered hypnotherapist, transpersonal process facilitator, craniosacral therapist, somatic-emotional release practitioner, SOMA structural integrator, licensed massage therapist, Reiki Master/Teacher, and subtle energy practitioner.

If you are seeking support of any kind in the mental health services area, please reach out to Erin! She has openings and can meet in person as well as telehealth appointments. You can reach out to schedule appointments by email at info@insidehealthinstitute.org or by phone at (425) 256-2125.
