The Four Questions

Hi friends,

How do we make the shift from speaking negatively to ourselves to accessing the wisdom that already exists within us? This week's inspiration comes from author Byron Katie's work, A Mind At Home In Itself, and the four liberating questions she asks readers to consider in moments of doubt and fear.

The Four Questions

  1. Is it true?

  2. Can you absolutely know that it's true?

  3. How do you react when you believe that thought?

  4. Who would you be without that thought

I do a lot of work with my clients around their inner critics so these questions can be very helpful when they know that their inner critic is trying to run the show. It's a way to pause and come back to our true selves, in order to rely on our inner knowing.

Add in some empathy for ourselves and these questions are incredibly powerful tools. How will you lead with compassion this week? Hit reply to respond and I'll see you back here next Sunday
